Ally Assists with Universal Design

Ally is integrated into Canvas to assist instructors in designing learning materials. This makes content accessible to everyone, especially those with special needs. Ally scans the content and assigns each element a score providing guidance on how to address issues.

Ally is for both students and staff

Through Ally, you can generate alternative formats of content in Canvas. For example, you can obtain an audio file from text, receive a machine-translated text, or access digital braille.

The Canvas administrator gets a report

Canvas administrators have access to a detailed report of accessibility issues so that they can follow up with faculty or departments to resolve challenges as quickly as possible.
